As most of you may know by now there has been quite a stir recently in the news about the “reported” internal issues within the New England Patriot’s organization. Many reports from the outside have indicated that Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and Robert Kraft are mixed up in some sort of a family feud. Contrary to these reports many people from inside the association have claimed there is no such nonsense going on. Is this just something implemented by the media to get the fans talking or is there possibly something brewing in Foxborough?
If this is the ‘fall’ for the Patriots empire it has been quite the process and these recent news reports have got me thinking. With an aging Tom Brady, an upset Bill Belichick and a clueless Robert Kraft steering this ship, I have no idea what direction they are headed or what the future holds. One day I feel they are on the road to 5 more Super Bowls and the next day it feels like the walls are closing in and they are on a destructive path to the bottom of the league in no time. But am I really reading into all this garbage about the Terrific Three (thats what I’m calling them now)? No not really. I don’t believe it for a second, they all have one goal in mind and that is winning another Super Bowl ring. Do I think anyone in the AFC is a challenge for the Pats? No. Pittsburgh is our biggest competition and I am actually more concerned about Jacksonville and their defence than the Steelers.
But lets look at how things may play out if there truly is internal issues occurring for this team. I have heard that Belichick is upset with Kraft because he “forced” him to trade away Jimmy Garoppolo who was realistically the future of this franchise. Well that doesn’t stop them from winning another Super Bowl this year so we can worry about that when the time comes. I also heard reports that Belichick is on a mission to sabotage the Patriots organization and leave them for dead after this season. Supposedly for the first time ever, he is allowing his coordinators to interview for other teams. Giving them the chance to receive offers for other positions in other organizations. *Hmmmm. There was also a number of reports that said he would be out the door next year and no longer head coach of the Pats. Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah. It’s all crap. ‘BS’ written by sports writers to get the people talking. Brady and Belichick will be just fine. They are going to take it one game at a time, study their match-ups, identify opposing team’s weaknesses, shut down opposing team’s strengths and carry New England to their 6th Super Bowl Championship.
I mean c’mon, there is not a single worry in Patriots land. We can worry about the coaching situation when it becomes necessary and we can worry about the quarterback situation when Brady’s legacy ends around, ah let’s say, 45 years of age. For now, we look to demolish the poor, pathetic Titans and get rested up for the AFC Championship against either Pittsburgh or Jacksonville.
Go Pats Go!
